WHY IS WCIV GOING AWAY FOREVER
! I know that the FCC is going to shut them down because Sinclair didn't find an owner for them. What are you going to respond to this Charleston.
I think they should be sold to another company, and remain as ABC, maybe in the last hour or day of their history, before they can move to WMMP, and be ABC 36 and turn into WCIV-DT. Maybe that can save some people's jobs if they work for WCIV, since the FCC will make 100+ people (excluding news, weather, sports and some operation staff) out of the job in both Birmingham/Tuscaloosa/Anniston and Charleston. That means MYTV Charleston dosen't have to move to 36.2! However, the only advantage for ABC to be on 36 is that they have an almost better signal than WCIV. The only disadvantage to that is they will lose some viewers for ABC southwest of WCIV's and WMMP's transmitter in Elloree and Paxville, but I think they have another ABC signal, which is not only WOLO-TV from Columbia, but also nearby, WPDE-TV in Florence. Not many will watch WJCL instead of WMMP/WCIV.
