Why WRIF and Rock Ratings are falling... Along with other stations.

WRIF ratings have been on the decline, for quite some time, a side from the Drew and Mike Show, the music and programing has been stale for quite a while some a while now. Drew and Mike basically are making money for the station, while the others are not holding up their end.
With the advent of the internet broadcasting many of stations are online, and can be received via smart phone, internet applicances, and other means.
Drew and Mike are on in the morning and after Delbert Harris say his bit, I immediately switch over to something else, because the music director doesn't know music. The DJ's play the same old music since the early 80s, I can guarranty that one of 6 band will be heard within the first 4 songs of Drew and Mike's exit.... Usually it is Guns and Blowses (Yes they blow, and the station and many around them too do, they play them every 3 hours of any day, G&R hasn't had a CD out in over 17 years, oh that qualifies them as being a classic rock band being heard on WCSX, what a joke. They are overrated and over played. The next artist to be played is Ozzy Osborn, well at least he is still making new music, But they don't play it!!!!!, Pink Floydd well they were good, 20 years ago, move on, Metallica , they haven't had a hit in 10 years, yet they play them as much as G&R the best album was the black one, they haven't much out since reloaded. Artist of 2 weeks prior to coming to town,Wrif won't play them till they come back into town. or when tickets go on sale for the show.
I am sure I am not the only one who noticed this limited playlist or better yet lack of orginally of playing something new off of a artist cd. an Example of the above would be that, Sick Puppies Tri-Polar CD the stations are finally playing a song called Rip Tide, saying this is new, the CD has been out for over a year+, I love the song, but that song should have been playing a long time ago. Another artist never heard except for Christmas season is Gary Hoey, he is quite talented and has not gained mach popularity over the 18 years of playing music, I have seen him except for 2 times he has played in the area, WRIF didn't even have him on the air, the last time he came to Detroit, the local TV station had him on and played that morning. It's a real treat to see and hear Gary sing and play.
How about playing some other artist and different songs from artist's that we all know as well, or is the corporate strings of Greater Media or record company's in that much of control freaks?
Programming Director should be fired as well, a talk show about home improvement or hiring it done, basically it is one man's info commerical on a Saturday morning!!! WTF are you thinking? That show should be on an AM station on the weekend, not on a rock station, when there are only 1.5 stations in Detroit, sorry 89X some of the stuff you play is over played too, but at least I know there is no G&R or over played Ozzy, and the fact that your not technically in the US, but Canada, although I listen to you more in the car whe D&M are not on.
House of Hair is a joke, they play the same old crap we have heard over the years, what worst is that we'll play G&R along with White Lion, Zebra, and a bunch of one hit wonders, who we nevered heard from again. enough already, what's really madding is that WRIF will put Hard Drive on at 6-7 am, itis the best synticated shows on Radio, too bad most of Detroit area doesn't hear the show, or the fact that the show is on for 3 hours long, and WRIF doesn't play it at all, but will play a hasbin washed out hair band show during the prime listening hours of Sunday morning. Would somebodyu please explain their logic to me.
Logic like that baffles the mind, it's no wonder why Detroit Rock sucks, Stations that rock for those who want to listen to online and over the Iheart Radio App and Chumby, Android Apps are gaining popularity and MP3 players.
Hear is a good list of Rock Stations which you can find over the net and Apps.
iHeart Radio,http://www.iheartradio.com/main.html many stations here: C101 , http://www.c101.com/main.html
http://www.x1015.com/main.html http://www.wjrr.com/main.html http://www.wmms.com/main.html
Not iheart radio : http://www.181.fm/ http://www.z93kqz.fm/ http://www.fm96.com/
There are other stations out there but you get the idea, once you've heard any the obove stations, you won't want to listen to local radio other then the traffic, weather and sports.
As far as the other formats are concerned in Detroit, I think we have too much pop and soft music out there, all the stations are all sounding the same, but I guess that is what happens when a company in New York or when a record company owns the stations. It is such a shame to see Detroit and other cities, radio stations all sound the pretty much the same. There is no orginal programming or leadership along them.
Doug FM wow what a great idea, lets play everything that sucks, nobody wants to hear Neil Diamond, Pearl Jam, John Denver , Chevelle and Frank Sinatra in one segment of music, it's just not right.
Perhaps someone will wake up and see what happened to Detroit radio, before it is turned into some non english speaking stations community.

Could this be rewritten out of rant and into proper English?
