Why yet another AC for Connecticut?

Now that 96.7 has become an AC station, it puts itself into lots more competition. There already is 106.7 from NYC, 100.7 WHUD, 100.5 WRCH, Star 99.9, and WEBE 108, and 103.9 WFAS. All those stations are audible in 96.7's coverage area.<P ID="signature">______________

Doesn't really make sense to me yet. Why add something thats already oversaturating the FM dial in the area. I understand the competition aspect of it but don't you think they should have done something different like a country format or something thats missing in the area?

Not to mention WALK 97.5 and WLVG 96.1 two very audible AC signals from Long Island. WALK is almost everywhere in the southern hemisphere of Ct, north and west past Danbury and into upstate NY in some areas, and Love 96.1 comes in from Bridgeport or thereabouts east right thru into New London/Groton.

Because old people love Connecticut.
