Why You Can't Get Sick In Radio

If you've caught Chuck & The Chick the past two days on KT'R Newstalk Breaking News & Traffic 92~Three, you've probably noticed a big difference. Chuck is suddenly alive and taking a more foreground and dominant role on the show. His sidekick doesn't sound shrill or as if she's had too many Starbuck Ventis before hitting the air. In a nutshell, the two finally click and the show is listenable all three hours. Oh, did I mention that Karie Dozer has been out sick since the Tuesday primaries and Chris Hamblin is subbing? hmmmmmmmmmmm

I have a difficult time listening to talk radio anymore. I'm almost exclusively listening to Pandora, Slacker, or my own music collection on my iPod. If I do listen to KTAR, I listen to the news.

OK, OK...we are sick! Nurse Jeff and I caught about 15 minutes of Chuck & Chick on KTweetAr Wed PM and just about blew our taco grandes on the Gremlin dash. Those two just couldn't keep from giggling, chortling and laughing at each other as they read a story of some dumb ass in Florida who, for lack of anything better to do, was caught riding a manatee. Now for you desert dwellers, manatees are rather large, slow moving sea creatures that are protected by law in the Sunshine State. Yuk, yuk, yuk went Chuck 'n Chick, while the Nurse and I were trying to figure out the relevancy of such a story in the Valley. But hey, this is the Voice of Arizona People Magazine, so dumb things are to be expected. And these two certainly followed through as their next hilarious story was about Olivia Newton John and John Travolta reuniting for a Xmas album.

Since KEZ will be flipping to "All Christmas Music, All of the Time" any day, they should start off with Travolta & John's Winter Wonderland Holiday Songs
