Could be a number of reasons, despite the fact they've all had failures, they've also all had success. You have immediate name recognition for your station. They are someone who supposedly "know the market". Philly is a real different place as I'm pretty sure the Hawaiian boys found out. Sometimes its better to have people that KNOW what the audience wants and have experience in Philly and dealing with Philly fans then to grab whats hot out of market 126.

Right, Philadelphians don't accept new jocks that much, at least thats the impression I get. One of those people had to start fresh eventually, so maybe it just takes time.

Look at WYSP's glory days 2002-2003, when they were #1 mornings, middays and afternoons.

Howard Stern-New York
Don and Mike-Washington
Opie and Anthony-New York

Barsky as I have mentioned is a failure and I don't think the rest of the recycled jocks are lighting the world on fire.

How do the jocks(DeBella Koob, etc) at MGK do?

thank you for replying to my post. it just seems that the all the recycles wind up getting jobs at different stations in this town. and from what i've heard, from insiders, the recycles are a-holes to work with. so i guess "off-air" personality has nothing to with ratings or name recognition. case in point. . .Mike Missanelli.
