WI FI Radio Help

Anyone know the address for WLW's web stream so I can listen to them on my WI FI radio? Been able to find a lot of stations to program on my radio but not this one. Nice radio for weak or distant stations. WCIN/WDJO sounds great on it. That was the reason I got it but it has been nice for a wide variety of stations too.

Thanks,
Ron

It depends on what kind of radio you have. What brand is it and what database does it use? Some radios are unable to play Clear Channel streams, mine wasn't able to until Reciva and CC could come to an agreement and there was a firmware upgrade.

It is a Phoenix WI FI radio. I don't know what data base it uses or how to find out. Here is the link I use if that helps.

Who really cares - it's Clear Channel and they suck! There are many other great stations available via Wifi than what's on in this market.
Between my Sirus/XM and Wifi radios (CCrane, Grace, Roku) I never listen to local radio 8) Terrestrial radio was dying a slow death, but now it's in hyper speed mode to the graveyard. Apologies for the frankness...

If you want to listen to Clear Channel owned stations while using a Reciva based WiFi radio you will need a radio built by a manufacture that is using the latest Reciva firmware. Each manufacturer must request the latest firmware from Reciva for most Clear Channel owned stations to be able to play on the units (within the borders of the United States); it is not automatic on all Reciva based radios.

The radios with the current firmware are:
CC WiFi Radio
Tangent Quattro
Sangean WFR-20
Grace WiFi radios
There may be more but those are all the radios with this ability that I come to mind.

Some Reciva based radios have a work-around that is possible to use to listen to Clear Channel owned stations. To achieve this you must create an account at Reciva.com (it’s free) and then register your radio. From there search for stations on their website and select the button to “Add to My Stations”. Once your radio is registered and the desired stations are added to your profile, you then must get a station update from Reciva so that your radio knows it is tied to your profile. This happens automatically every 12 to 24 hours or you can force it to happen by unplugging your radio for a few moments and restoring power. Then navigate to <Stations>\<My Stuff>\<My Stations> and you should see your chosen stations there. This work around doesn’t work on all Clear Channel stations but it should be helpful for quite a few if you do not own one of the WiFi radios with the updated firmware.
