So, Mark Prater has been re-upped to chief meteorologist on Channel 42. What happened to Gene Norman? In all honesty, I didn't think he was that good, but....
 
It appears he's still residing in Birmingham for the moment, but is no longer on the air staff. The Alabama Broadcasters Association posted an opening for a meteorologist at WIAT just a few days ago, though it appears the job has been taken down now.
