WIBBAGE-FM @94.3 has the CP

The FCC has approved WIBG LLC's request for a significant power increase
and new tower location, to best cover both Atlantic, Cape May and Cumberland
Counties. WIBBAGE-FM will continue to play strong local coverage and remain
Wildwood and Avalon's Wibbage, but will greatly expand its northern signal
with 60 dBu in Atlantic City as well. Response to the WIBBAGE format has been
overwhelming, and the move to the northern Gold Coast Communications LLC
tower site provides far better coverage at 6 kilowatts. Our anticipation is
that WIBBAGE FM will be at full power by August. Our association with the
Wildwood's continues to expand, with more city/shore events planned soon.
Our new website address is wibbage.fm and the new site will launch within days.
The ability to reach a much broader population count and coverage will mean
far less signal loss across the water and onto the mainland. Response by our
advertisers has been very strong as well.

That's awesome. Wibbage is one of my favorite stations when I visit AC. With the new CP, more fishies will be able to hear Wibbage, but it also covers more land.

Is the new location the old WSLT-FM tower site....the tower was 300 feet at that time with 3kw for WSLT-FM-106.3 around 1975/6...never knew why they would not put the AM oldies format on the FM, we always used to bug the "Bouncing Bubble Bobby E" to plead to his boss to do it.....

Because SLT's owners thought they could make much more money with the "Beautiful Music" FM. During 1975-76, Beautiful Music was the dominant FM format, WFPG-FM was making lots of money in the AC market, and WAYV and for a short period of time, WMGM, were also beautiful music.
