WIBC lets Steve Simpson go

Well, looks like this is the end of one of the last "news" show on WIBC. Tony Katz takes over mornings soon. Very sad ...

I wonder if Teri Stacy was also fired. She is/was annoying to listen to.
I cannot figure out how ANYONE can give a full opinion, in between weather/traffic,
News, sports and of course, endless commercials. I have listened to Katz at night.
He is good and entertaining, when given the time to properly give his stance. With all the clutter of morning drive, that might not work out so well.

Its felt like WIBC's programming choices were made by throwing darts at a wall for a while, starting with Ed Wenck in the afternoons a few years ago. I'm very curious why WIBC wants to air more conservative opinion, when nationally that kind of programming is falling down the ratings chart.

If it's falling down the ratings nationally, WIBC probably has another decade before it affects Indianapolis. That being said, this station is lacking in so many areas, primarily in it's newsroom.

Katz will be just fine, thank you very much. It will be a change, for sure, but TK will have WIBC's morning listeners entertained and informed.

What else can WIBC do?

Jeff Pigeon, Dave "The King" Wilson, and now Steve Simpson. It appears they have relegated Terri Stacy to a weekend time slot that is seldom listened to. What is Charlie Morgan and Emmis thinking? This is Indianapolis where we expect to have news people on the air for a long time. Look at Channels 8 and 13 to see what I mean. Tony Katz is a better option for Rush Limbaugh's slot! Bring the station back home Monday-Friday. I had already given up on the afternoon and evening times with Rush, the Dana Lash show, the Chicks on the Right, Abdoul, and then Dana Lash again. By the way, I loved the Abdoul in the Morning Show when he was on another Indy radio Station, but not as he is doing on WIBC now. I am a conservative listener who has had enough! Thank God for "The BIG One", WLW Radio 700 in Cincinnati, and WBBM Radio 780 in Chicago to keep me informed here in Indianapolis!
