WIBC Morning Show--Changes

You can bet there was a heavy duty programming meeting yesterday....Stever is gone from the morning show with no mention of "sitting in for Steve Simpson". It's a fast paced show packed with bite sized bits of info. What little interactive banter that was left seems gone. A promo for Garrison's show refers to a "new format with open phones" this morning at 9. Comments?

They need to do all news...KRLD just went back to all news (mostly)

Holy frijoles. Steve Simpson is the strongest talent WIBC has. You'd think they could find a good use for him.

His voice was still on a couple of things during the show but no reference was made to him by name, opening the possibility that he's still there? The morning show has changed, judging from the promo, Garisson's show might have changed to a more call intensive format...wonder what (if anything) that means for the afternoon show? If the afternoon show is going to vaguely resemble the morning show, it has a ways to go to get there.

Garrison doesn't sound any different to me. Still has guests & takes a pretty small number of callers.

Like maybe the afternoon show. Wank sounds like he should be back on a music station. He just doesn't seem to be fitting into the role.

So if Stever wasn't hosting the morning show, who was?

Joe Ulery & Terri Stacey.

Actually, a little birdie did recently tell me that there is nothing going on. I do believe you are correct. Guess if they want to let the anchor have a day or two off, plug someone else into his position & identify the show by the name of the sub with no explanation, that would be their privileged. But it can start suspicions, especially a couple days after the first PPM ratings come out. I'm tempted to apologize for starting an unjustified rumor, but if all the same circumstances again greeted my ears for an entire morning show, I'm afraid I'd come to the same (wrong) conclusion!
