WIBC weekend news top of the hour?

Saturday/Sunday (particularly on Sunday) WIBC newscasts scheduling seems a bit strange:

Lately I've noticed there is no local news/weather at the top of hour only a ?2? minute Fox News headlines and then commercials.

Sometimes I've heard local news/weather at the bottom of the hour - which seems strange that if you had a choice wouldn't local news/weather be placed at the top of the hour instead of at the bottom of the hour?

I was so disappointed in WIBC at 5 or 6PM on a Saturday. The sheriff ordered the Riley Days Festival in Greenfield evacuated because the NWS had advised the festival people that an impending storm with up to 70 mph winds was bearing down on the city. I heard exactly what you described...2 minutes of Fox News and 4 minutes of commercials. Not even a recorded weather forecast, much less live weather info. "24 Hour News Room"...whatever.

I don't understand the times they do the news during these Saturdays and Sundays - it is a very short bottom of the hour (!) news report. Just don't understand why they would select that time for the news instead of doing a longer version at the top of hour (especially if someone is in the news department).

WIBC seems to have been in the weeds for a few years now.

On weekends they do a lot of voicetracked local news. They've totally missed several big stories over the last couple of years. WFYI is becoming a better news source, although they are not staffed 24/7 either.
