Wibg fm is much better off now that Philly Bill has been hired full time. He knows the music that REAL CLASSIC OLDIE fans want to hear, He should be the programmer and the music would get much better. I dont know how much input he now has into the music but,as long as the other pd runs the music choices, this station will continue with poor ratings.....You cant just change the call letters and continue with the same crappy 70s oldies and expect the ratings to rise. By the way, The BOSS was WFIL not WIBG...they dont even know that..They played the 70s crappy oldies on WILW for how many years with rick r and always got poor ratings. The owner just doesnt seem to get it. They need a complete change back to the good old days with doo wop and more motown and R&B...they should hire the Geator as pd ...he knows the songs that philly transplants want to hear
 
I agree with you that things are looking up for WIBG but would disagree about bringing in Jerry Blavat.

Many in the Doo Wop crowd have passed away and over time they will all be gone.

JErry Blavat is on WVLT in Vineland beginning at 5 PM MOnday -Friday. The program doesn't have any numbers.
