WIBG Sounds Like Crap!

OK.. is it just me or does WIBG not only sound different every single day, but no matter what... it always sounds like total crap.... it's funny there's serious broadcasters down there, then there's WIBG and coastal that sound like they belong on the non-comm part of the band...
 
WMID blows them out of the water....no pun intended...when I am at the shore or on the internet its always WMID....their music makes the difference...forget the trade name and voice tracked jocks at IBG...that never answer your requests...
 
I was pretty impressed with WIBG as of late. Bob Charger does a great job, day time.

I like their playlist. It seems like they've pretty cleaned it up since taking over the station.

Josh... most of the music on there is not great (IMO)... and the actual sound of the station is horrible.... I can't grasp how you are impressed... can you explain WHAT you like about that station? I'm just trying to understand what I'm missing...
 
How can u not love WIBG? This is the station we grew up with - the jingles, sweepers, etc..

The music is as good as it has ever been - It brings back memories, of better times - of music that was clean, positive and never offensive.

I totally get the concept... but the old WIBG and 'FIL were real radio stations... with real boss jocks who knew their craft.... there was a huge amount of entertainment in those stations... and they were always "on"... this station sounds really bad, and yea the snips of the old WIBG they play are cute, but if you wanted to do it right wouldn't you put a little more effort into it? I don't listen to this station and think WIBG or 'FIL... I just think small market radio with small market thoughts and a small market budget... it's almost offensive to call it WIBG because of what those jocks did for the industry as a whole... that's all... I guess I just miss "radio" and to have a station try to pretend that it's following in the footsteps of a legendary major market radio station just sets me off...
