Recent mention on Allaccess.com that "The Beat" was in no hurry to fill their morning show opening as they were waiting for a contract expiration of a "morning team" within earshot.

So who's headed to "The Beat"? Bob and Sheri? John Boy & Billy? Ace & TJ? Al Gardner & Stacy Simms? Tony & Jen? Micky & Mooch?

Goodness, the possibilities are endless? I will take my tongue out of my cheek now!

Wow! There's a treat! Like scotch, I never developed a "taste" for Roper's act.

Keep in mind, "within earshot" doesn't necessarily mean from Charlotte. Greenville-Spartanburg, Columbia, and Greensboro-Winston Salem are all close enough to Charlotte that you might be able to pull their stations in...just a thought.

That being said, I would doubt that perhaps the most obvious candidate implied by the aforementioned blurb - Ace & TJ - would jet to The Beat. Why would you take a risk like that, joining up a station that isn't even winning the battle against Kiss (hell, as of the recently released trend, WNKS is ahead in 12+). Who else comes to mind? I guess things with Adam Smasher didn't pan out? Honestly, at this point, you have to wonder how much longer The Beat can go without a morning show... it's been a year and a half since they flipped.

I would love for ACE-TJ to leave Kiss and Charlotte! They sound like they belong to a country station not a CHR!?? Agree/disagree? And by the way , sadly, I thought they got an extension for another 4 years or something??
