Wierd Dream

I had this dream awhile ago, and since the dream was about radio format flips, and radio-info.com was in the dream, I figure there might be one or two people out there who might get a kick out of it. This is a real dream I had, and perhaps this dream might be evidence that I need to seek professional help...

The dream starts where I turn on my car radio and put on 92.3, but what greets me is not 92.3, it's some liner saying "Star 93...Cleveland's Best Source for Hip Hop". Now, if 92.3 would flip urban in real life, I know that wouldn't call themselves Star 93. If they would round, they's round down to 92, and Star sounds more like a AC station name, not Urban leaning CHR. But, it was a dream... So, in my dream, I get the bright idea to check all of Infinity's Cleveland stations. Mabye WXTM had relocated. Nope. 98.5 is still classic rock, 102 and 104 are still the same. So, I begin just going through the dial. Mabye some other station flipped to an alternative format. Nope, although when I get to the end of the dial, 107.9 has flipped. Not back to The End. They were now playing classic rock.

Confused I find myself home at my computer. I log on to radio-info.com, to see if I can find any info. The only posts I see about format flips have to do with some smaller market stations. If I recall correctly Alliance was even mentioned in one of the subjects.

Then I woke up :)

This dream is a real dream I had. Mabye I should lay off eating before I go to bed.

Must have been a dream. Radio One knows as much about classic rock as I do about cricket.

92-3 should go back to a Top 40, like Jammin' back in the day, which when it was flipped had over a 6 share.<P ID="signature">______________

That was back when the CHR format was REALLY red hot though. It's cooled off somewhat since. (Not to take anything away from Jammin' though, great station!!)

Could Cleveland support two CHR's in 2005?

Arguably CHR is as hot. In fact, much more variety of genres lately. Other markets have 2 CHR's, whether mainstream or rhythmic oriented. WAKS sure has a stronghold...I would think there's room.
