WIFI 1460/92.9

well, it’s official. Ritmo broadcasting has scrapped 98.5 out of Trenton and flipped their 92.9 to all Spanish. I just heard their legal ID and one of their new liners all in Spanish. Their website now reflects the new frequency. The interesting thing though is 92.9 is really not that listenable in Trenton.

The 98.5 and 92.9 signals would complement each other nicely in Trenton and south. Who says 98.5 is 'scrapped?' The CP to move 95.1 Burlington to Trenton still appears to be active.

For a while there the web stream was in stereo with the FM in mono, but eventually the FM is in stereo too. I like their more relaxed approach to the on-air processing on the FM side, too. Their CHR was interesting to say the least. I can get it from Bensalem.

They played Say So by Doja Cat uncensored when they did CHR. Pretty interesting 6 month stunt.

Then why didn't you? You could have shifted from "expert on everything" to "showcasing how it's done in 2021."

He'd have gotten bored or gone broke in 6 months. I dont care how much money someone says they have or how good they say they are.. if theyre losing money, have other ventures or are fixing up a dumpster fire, they will eventually want out.

I know someone who bought an AM in Florida and was insistent that hed be there XX hours a day and would play this kind of music he loved.. It lasted about 6 months before he had to make some changes and wasnt there so many hours a day. It was alot harder than he thought.

Of course it is... always easier to "armchair" things than to realistically be personally involved DOING them firsthand...

ive run stations similar to WIFI 1460/92.9 and depending on the level of dumpster fire im putting out that day or how busy i get with calls/visitors/emails, production, its exhausting

That's the thing. No matter what, a radio station is more than a one person operation as it is a 24/7 business. When/if an enthusiast takes over a station they need to recognize that. I imagine that is the problem that many think they can do it by themselves with a computer. Unfortunately its not that easy.

They just flipped to a Rhythmic CHR format at midnight.
