WIGL106/WPJS site before move to Columbia as WTCB

I remember years ago (early 80s) going to Orangeburg and remember seeing the WIGL (old WPJS) station building. I just can't remember where it was located at. Does anyone remember the address/location where it was? I'm sure it has been torn down. I do remember it being a small building I think in a triangle area somewhere in Orangeburg. Also are any of the old WIGL personalities on air anywhere now. Just pondering through history. Thanks.

The studio and transmitter were both located in the woods behind the hospital on US 601 as you enter Orangeburg. Access was via a 2-rut dirt road off Cook Road. I visited the studio at least once when it was PJS and again when it was WIGL. The old stick is gone, but I believe a shorter tower remains on the site, perhaps a cell phone tower. BBN had a translator at the site until a few years ago when they increased the power of WYFV Cayce. I believe former Wiggle 106 morning guy Charlie Boswell (creator of Hiney Wines) is now retired from radio in Virginia, but not sure about other staff.

The 600 foot stick was replaced with another 600 foot stick a few years ago just four feet over from the orginal stick. Charlie started 102.9 in Orangeburg and grabed the WIGL call letters. He later bought 105.1 from Burcalder then a Branchville station and named it Froggy 105.1. He later started sports talk 94.5 Bowman which he sold about 14 years ago to a religious group and later about 12 years ago sold 105.1 now 105.3 and 102.9 to Harold Miller.
