WIIN back on the air, WONG still off, WRJH?

Hey all -

I noticed this afternoon that WIIN 780 AM is back on the air, after more than 10 days gone. WONG 1150 AM in Canton, which was *on* the air after the hurricane, has been off the air for days.

I heard WRJH 97.7 FM back on the air after a week down. Were they off because of the hurricane or because they don't pay their electricity bills?

I was wondering about that with WRJH, considering the troubles with their finances. I know it's easy to pile on right now, but I personally think it was hurricane-related.<P ID="signature">______________

WRJH is on the same line as me. Whenever my lights go out, WRJH's transmitter goes out. After my lights came back on WRJH ran dead air for a while before finally coming back on the air. WQST was also off the air for a long time. They eventually came back on the air on 970 in Brandon. 850 AM is finally back now. Not sure what the deal is with 1150. At one time during the hurricane. WONG and WJDX was about the only AM stations on the air.

WRJH had some hurricane related problems - STL dish on the tower was blown out of alignment. It took a few days to find a tower climber that would realign it. That's why they were off for a few more days after the power came back on.

WQST had some problems getting the old CCA transmitter back in operation when the power came back on in Forest. Nothing serious, but it took a few days to get some parts in to fix it.

Don't know anything about WONG.
