I did an stub article on WODR after I heard it briefly at Myrtle Beach, but I don't know much about its history. Wasn't it a Wilmington station at one time? Any contributions are appreciated.
Here is a bit of limited information. I know the frequency was originally allocated with Fair Bluff as the city of license. The tower at one time was off highway 410 between Chadbourn and Tabor City. I seem to remember that Curtis Media almost put this station on the air and that Harold Miller may have bought it from Curtis and resold the allocation to someone else. There are certainly more details. Former WRFX, Charlotte general manger Macon Moye ran the station for a while as the flagship station for the Endless Summer Radio Network with 'Fessa John Hook programming beach music both over the air and by webcasting.
