wil 1430 & kwk 1370

Sure would like to hear from someone who remembers 3 top 40 stations in St Louis, KXOK, WIL, & KWK. I picked up these stations in central Illinois, & remember my parents taking me to Sportmans Park, where I could dial in all these stations. I remember 2 air personalities, Bob Osborne, WIL, and King Richard on KWK. Can someone fill me in on these memories? Must have been late 50's.

I worked on-air at WIL 1430 after they switched to a Country format, which I believe was 1968. Some of the engineers used to talk about the Top 40 days. They had some big names, Jack Carney, Danny Dark, Steve Lundy... to name a few. You mentioned Bob Osborne. He went on to work at KMOX for many years. He passed away 10- to 15 years ago.
