Ohio Media Watch mentioned this a few weeks ago..Living Bread Radio, Catholic Owners of WILB-AM 1060, Canton recently received approval from the FCC to up their power to 15,000 watts daytime, which supposedly gets them better coverage into Cleveland and Cuyahoga County.

WILB article on the power increase..

The Station has a long and diverse history...First as WCMW from 1946-early 1960's WHOF from early 1960's-1967..WOIO "Two Way Radio" 1967-73..Then WQIO "Q10" top 40..After which for many years (till July 2004) they were WRCW "Canton's Adult Radio"..Since July 2004, they have been "Catholic Radio" WILB

Praise the Lord! I think Canton's TV stations are religious as well. What's up with that?

Blame it on the Cleveland TV market. One needs only to study the history of WAKR/WAKC-TV to at least partially answer that question.

To remain on-topic, I can testify (no pun intended) to experiencing improved reception of 1060 in my neck of the woods. Bring back Q-10!
