Wild 101 Change OVER to ???

Rumor Has it that there is a huge Take over/ change over this weekend At the Wild 101 studio's.. No One really knows what's going on but a change over is expected as early as Sunday day time. could be outsiders investment or a merger but i as with other staff has no idea to whats really going on..

We have been put on notice for a special staff meeting this monday morning ????

No one except for the current on AIR weekend staff is allowed in the building until monday...

Finally P.S "This is no april fools joke" at the bottom of the notice.....

i wish i could scan and post this notice, but i dont want to get into any trouble...

:-\

I noticed the changes in programming selections (more dance oriented) and staffing?? Might be wrong but the overal sound seems like its evolving maybe?

Hmm I wonder what it could be!!! ???

1+1 always equalled to 2 in my books..... just a thought with no actual fact

No disrespect guys, but Buffalo posters, poseurs and readers would take more notice of CKEY 101.1 if it was country. In its present format, the station doesn't do much in the Buffalo ratings and it lacks consistent promotion on the street. A market-leading CHR must have promotion and street presence. Hard to do that when you have to schlepp across the bridge to make your case.

Say what you will about Entercom and Kiss... Kiss has street cred in Buffalo. Consistently. Also, even though it isn't MY Number One Hit Music Station any more, Kiss 98.5 has better personalities (even though they're aging and mostly out of the 12-34 demo.)

Now, I gather from your posts that you're fans of dance, urban and CHR. Cool. {"I'm down with that..." say it out loud with a "white guy from the suburbs" delivery and you'll get the humor ;D } Programming and promotion-wise, Kiss 98.5 has fought off Wild and the battle and war are both over. Wild 101.1 seems under-funded and even with the genius of Dave Universal as consultant, you can't get blood from a stone, if you get my analogy.
