Wild 102.7 Is Streaming Again

Noticed via RadioTime that Wild 102.7 is streaming again, the same 100Kbps format. Not sure if their stream is back on their main site.

Enjoy it while it lasts. Wild and all the Atlantic stations are on the auction block. While there is currently only one bidder, Boardwalk Radio, a company with most of the same investors as Atlantic but with a clean slate, another bidder could easily make a higher bid and Boardwalk legally cannot bid higher. Boardwalk essentially only made a bid to set a reserve price. Best part about Boardwalk, Brett is not involved.

I can't believe all 5 Atlantic stations are selling for $3 million. From $22 million in the early 2000s to $3 million now, Brett must be really proud of what he did to the value of the Atlantic stations.

It's not just Brett. We're seeing a bubble burst in broadcasting right now. Conglomoratization, over-leveraging, and market saturation are coming back to haunt us. Companies that spent millions upon millions on stations are now going bust, and their stations are returning to their true price levels.

By the way, whoever buys that cluster, I'd love to come on board and help you bring it back from the brink. Of course, I've never sold a hot dog in my life, just spent 20 years in actual broadcasting, so what are the odds?
