Wild 102.9 Reno

I was up in reno over the weekend and noticed Wild 102.9 signal was "crip[pled" just in Reno alone was "staticy" also a little after boomtown Lost the signal completely. Anyone know whats going on??

Also noticed they now claim to play "todays hottest music" instead of hip hop also they have added some chr type music. Talk about trying to knock off KWNZ.

I think Wild should stay away from KWNZ type of music and play a mixture of hip-hop, dance, freestyle, more mix shows. With a lot of Bay Area transplants they should be like Wild 94.9 in the late 90's

Just my 2 cents.

we discussed this a while back on this board. The Nick Elliott's of the world only do what daddy (Citadel) tells him to do. Wild tried going the way of the 94.9 years ago when Angel Garcia was ridin' there nuts. Brought up DJ's and cross promoted like crazy, even though one was owned by Cheap Channel, and the other by Crapadel. Unfortunately, the KWNZ type of format (whatever you guys like to call it), sells ad space in a place like Reno.

I will agree though, someone...at some point... will have to provide all those Bay Area folkers, something to listen too. I prefer KMEL over KYLD anyday. I can't believe no one in market 116? has picked up on the Wake-Up Show yet. The Baka Boyz are o.k., but nothing like Sway and Tech... B-double-O...

as for the signal... don't be surprised to see them get bumped off their stick by one of their "other" brothers from another mother. They had one of the strongest signals around... and I'll bet Crapadel looks at it as a waste of good tower-age.

F.Y.I. Reno is market #124 as a matter of record

Great idea! I think even KYLD should go back to being like Wild 94.9 in the late 90's. But I won't talk... I'm not in the PD chair, and I don't get to see their music research.
