Wild 105.7/96.7 staying but tweaking format

Destined for failure. Having a Mainstream CHR and a Rhythmic CHR in the same cluster only works when the Mainstream is very popular (Kiss 108 in Boston is an example). WiLD will hold Power back. Not a smart move at all.

Especially with two other strong competitors in Q and Star.

How much do you wanna bet Power 96 stays conservative just long enough to steal away Q's listeners, then slowly shifts more to a full chr or to slight rhythmic lean then WiLD eventually flips? Or maybe they'll all make enough revenue to co-exist - who knows. If WiLD were on a strong signal all this time, they would've surely been giving Q quite a bit of disturbance RIGHT NOW.

Well glad Atlanta's chr market is livening up right when Phoenix's Hot 97.5 dulls out. Gives me something to be excited and happy about. Just wondering how WiLD and Power will co-exist. I guess Power's strategy is to steal away from Q while WiLD listeners still have to tune in to WiLD to get a WiLD style. That's the only full power explanation I could see for Power ignoring top 40 hip hop hits. I'm overwhelmed with the news so I hope I'm making some sense because I'm in too much disbelief to think about everything that's happening here.

Gotta admit - I like the way WiLD is beginning to sound now. Bridge the gap between urban and chr and it's a style I like. But can they survive up against a bunch of urban stations? Yes, they are still different from urban since the pure stations mainly have a distinct sound, but...

You actually believe that's going to happen when Q has The Bert Show?

I have a bridge in Brooklyn to sell you...
