I've never heard a station sound as bad as wild 94.9. How & the heck can they look in the mirror when broadcasting such a crappy product! NOBODY IS LISTENING AT ALL. Get over it- they are dead! T-Mouth, and Wannabe dj Jazzy Jim have no business in radio...what the heck does jazzy know about the bay! tman is from seattle ...HELLO?????? i hope michael martin wakes up and puts somebody GREAT in there like Hollywood from the doghouse or maybe Tommy Del Rio from KSEQ. We need somebody who is passionate about music not some corporate puppet like archer...what has he ever accomplished...NOTHING! please flip the format to mandarin talk and save our eardrums.
 
Tommy White aka Tommy Del Rio was working for Entervision, a Friend of mine is a APD at a Entarvision Network Station and rummor has it that he was fired from Entravision due to Sexual harassment, Tommy is lucky he even has a job in radio still!
 
ok great ... so what if some people think he has a thing for young latin boys in tight shirts and multiple piercings...don't hold that against his tremendous passion for music and radio...all i was saying is WILD SUCKS! has anyone heard them??? i'll bet the answer is no -- seriously -- playing records like sexy back, let me love you, money maker, me & you-cassie, naughty girl -beyonce, ciara - get up, chris brown - say goodbye.... YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDIN ME!
 
As a college student hoping to break into the "biz" I couldn't disagree more. Wild sounds better now than i've ever heard them sound in my lifetime. People here in Oakland are feelin T-Man. I'm captivated by his show.

I can't comment about T-Man, because I don't listen to that station. However when I did back when they had a morning show, I'd turn the dial after 10. The music there is so repetitive and the ones that are in rotation are just terrible songs.

Their mixes were decent, and the slow jams at night were very good. Other than that, the rest of the station stinks. As a college student, everyone has turned to plugging iPods in their cars and listening to their burned CDs. (see subject)
 
It will also be interesting to see what kind of an effect Movin has on Wild...
 
Let's be honest "aradiotraveler" you started knocking the T-Man show" before the show even began. Since then you've made multiple posts from its first day untill today talking about how bad it is. Hard to take you seriously.

My friends and I love the show but we are radio nerds and may tend to listen to radio over an ipod more than people our age.

Let's all wait until the ratings roll in, which I imagine should be any day now?, to see where the show stands. Based on the impression I have the ratings will be big!
 
I agree with the post on T-Man's ratings in the Bay area on YLD being UP, UP and away!......think his Sea-Tac ratings should take a hit.

However, Bay Area ratings will not reflect T-Man until late November and they shouldn't be taken seriously until at least April.

This is just a throw away book for the KYLD morning slot when it comes out in a couple weeks. T-Man has not been on long enough to read anything into it.
 
they would do well as a country station. the frequency has built in heritage...

Management needs to just get it over with and pull the plug. i'm telling you guys wild is a JOKE! they have one of the worst airstaffs in history! Maybe stacy cunningham should take over and bring it back like she's done with KMEL. now thats a radio station!
 
I don't know about being old and out of touch....I've been accused of that. Certainly Country is huge in most of the US. I vacationed this year in southern Utah and MOST of the stations were country. But I'm always surprised when people on the SF and LA boards speculate that some station or other is going country. It doesn't work in SF! Yes - Wild's ratings have been dropping the last couple of years, but why would Clear Channel want to flip a station with comparatively decent ratings to a format that would probably net them lower "Bear" like ratings with a less desirable old-fogey demographic? Plus - it would probably encourage another low-rated FM station to flip to a hip/hop urban format and go head-to-head with CC's KMEL. "Wild 95.7" anyone? Doesn't make sense. Finally, when people think of 94.9's "heritage, they are probably more likely to think of the ground-breaking KSAN "Jive 95" of the 60s and 70s - not the forgettable country format of the 80s.
 
all i am saying again is change it to something...but this station is embarrassing the ENTIRE clear channel corporation... how can they continue on like this??? i repeat from above that NOONE is listening...

Jazzy Jim is a JOKE! why is he programming a 165 million dollar radio station...wasn't dennis martinez even doing better.?? i'm about as done as 94.9 with this subject!
 
I saw this post up and decided to chime in...from day 1 Strawberry didn't work out in the morning...it's like they pulled the Chuy move....take the guy who's been here the longest and started out in promotions and let's give him his shot. Now with the T-man show, which sounds as much like the Dog House as it can without the familiar voices, shows us they are trying to get back to their original product. I am not a fan of the T show...but at the same time the morning talk that DH did was what won the numbers. Eventually it will do well if the station can hold on. Just a thought
 
T-Man show is so much better than the Doghouse ever was.
Even when I listned every so often to DH in the 7th grade I realized how silly it was.
 
Hey, lovin the tunes, stop playing. I know you are really T-man. Doghouse built the station so show some respeeeeeect!!!They will just try to keep fixing the station but I think it's the management what they really have to tweek. They will just gonna keep on trying to put a copy-cat talent, same music and old mix. It's a sinking ship since they got rid of the Doghouse. Let's face it wild 94.9 is done!!!!!!
 
LOL...I'm sure the T-Man has nothing better to do than to write on this board.
One thing that I'm not sure is understood is that the T-Man show began in Seattle (1994) clearly before The Doghouse in The Bay. (1997, if I'm not mistaken)
So if there are any true accusations of who ripped the other off I would suggest that the Doghouse probably heard of how well T-Man was doing in Seattle and copied what he was doing.
Plus, I agree with the earlier post ("Tunes'), to compare T-Man to the Doghouse is a major insult to T-Man.
But let's all wait and see what kind of ratings he gets. What is written on this board doesn't mean anything to anyone.
I'm looking curerntly at the Arbitron ratings for the Doghouse that just came out on Monday in NYC and they are below awful.
 
i have to say...i was hating on T-Man at first because his voice was annoying me all to hell...but i've heard 3 shows this week which we're as good as anything i've ever heard in this market. might be something to this T-man
