Why doesn't WiLD 94.9 play more hip hop to compete with KMEL? I thought that is who WiLD 94.9 is battling. But I guess not. WiLD 94.9 go and change your slogan to WiLD 94.9 "Where Hip Hop Lives" or "The Bay Area's new #1 for Hip Hop and R&B" even this would work real good, "The Place For Hip Hop". This is if they want to lean away from the CHR/Rhythmic type format.
 
what are you talking about? kmel and wild are the same company, why would they compete against each other?
 
WiLD 949 is doing exactly what they should be doing...
owning the More Mainstream image in the market...
props to Jazzy... watch them continue to grow.
Don't think anyone can "out hip-hop" Kmel.
And the genre is going through the dolldrums right now.
 
Henry - there's no point in cannibalizing each other it was great when they did but the way that Wild is approaching they're playlist is right on since they are maintaining they're heritage while leaning a bit into that CHR side. Jazzy knows what he's doing - They should (in my opinion) try to have a local show again - nothing against tman but look at someone like Chuy Gomez he's there for the listeners not elsewhere.
 
THe only thing 94.9 has to do is get rid of that crappy ass excuse for a DJ/Morning show..T-man....T-Man sucks,his voice is so [EDIT] annoying...Anybody can do better, He SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
