I was killing time at my job in S. Bend and was planning on coming in to FW this weekend so i was surfing the station sites...and WILD is doing something someone should have done a LONG time ago--A LOCAL HIP-HOP CD. its about time they got off their ass and did more than just be third frames pimp! It'll be interesting to see who makes it on the CD...i guess it'll probably be similar to X's Essentials disc...any bets on who makes the cut???

Definitely Third Frame. Like you said, Wild is pimping them big time. They were the only station in the country playing 'Mary-I-Wanna' and 'Paper'.

Look for 260's '260 Anthem' to be on the CD as well.

Maybe something by Amanda Perez.

I think this CD is an awesome idea. When it hits stores I wouldn't mind taking a trip down to the Fort just to buy it.

I wondered about an Amanda Perez appearance myself... the question is, would her label (Powerhouse Entertainment) let it happen? It'd be nice if they could work her in somehow... maybe as "host" of the CD or something, at the least. It's sort of unimaginable to put together a project like this and not make Fort Wayne's biggest star a part of it.

If it's like their sister station's (X102/WXTW) CD, it'll be mostly people who are underground and not signed to a label.
