Wild Bill Scott?

Yes.

Wild Bill Scott and his wife had a great Sunday nights Oldies show on KYA93.3 in 1992,, that guy was like a Art Laboe from KRLA, played everything, you request it, he played it! He would be a great addition to the next Oldies station we get here! for now Im immpressed with the Band. 103.7, however they are "TALENT DEPRIVED" come on, who ever owns that station, you ever hear of Bobby Ocean, John Mack Flanagan, Steve Jordan, and Chris Edwards (the one who was hired by AVCO in 1968?) Your DJs are plain, flat, and boring, great playlist, get some talent in there,, Kenny in Concord

Yeah, I knew Wild Bill was doing Oldies in the Bay in the 90's. My same question is where is he today? I heard he was doing satellite Oldies, but there are no networks in SFO? He was a great jock, back in the original KSAN days. I guess my age is showing now! LOL

WBS had an interesting way of doing those requests that worked well on air. His wife took the requests in the other room, edited and carted them, and gave him the carts. He interacted with the recorded carts after auditioning them in cue. At the time, KYA had old Ampex recorders with no counters, so you just had to put little scraps of paper in the reel where your requests were, and edit and play back. A real pain in the butt. Later, they got machines with counters, and it was much easier to do requests there.

Anyone know the whereabouts of old KSAN rock jock Wild Bill Scott?
Wild Bill is in Colfax, Ca. Up I-80 East twards Donner Summit in the Foothills. I'm doing an oldies show much like the one on KYA, Sunday night. It's called "Radioldiez" and the name I'm using is: Big Daddy. It was given to me by Bill Drake before he passed away, and also to carry on another tradition that Tom Donahue started. I had no Idea any one would remember Wild Bill Scott? The show, Radioldiez is on KYOURADIO.Com Friday Night at 8PM and Sunday Afternoon at 3PM. Check it out if you can? My E-mail address is [email protected] anytime? The show is a little more laid back than you are used to hearing but it's the best I can do right now because I'm producing it in my living room, not a radio station. Take a listen and let me know what you think? Thanks, - Wild Bill aka: Big Daddy
