wow, [2] seperate southern ontario radio stations,
ON THE SAME DAY,
with the same branding, "zee" ( 101.1 / 103.5)
were BOTH live on location at seperate "Urban Outfitters" ( doing
the buy one, 2nd for a penny promotion), with both remotes
located in malls, in close proxy to the station's listening audience.

hmmm, good thing (cdn) radio is NOT the type of business
to cheapen things and consolidate two operations
into one corp. machine...with slick sales sharks
and owners getting by by paying one talent
to service multiple markets,
it is a good thing, this cookie cutter, "one size fits all"
is a new " unheard" of concept to radio in north america.

3:15pm, 5/20, corey motley, niagara falls, urban outfitters.
3:27pm, 5/20 (talent?/didnt recongize voice) urban outfitters, thornhill mall....

hmm...

so maybe i wasnt listening too closely.....ha ha

but that ohter poster, brings up some thing of revelance:

may (CKEY) and (CIDC) create a 'network'

(not just for concerts) like the "zee" summerRush, or

"zee" presents, "artist,"

(and reeeely have CIDC pay for it; and CKEY pay them for the naming rights )

but,
-actually have the "zee" 5pm, street mix, (for example) airing on both stations,
originating from toronto, of course, and replaying in niagara falls.
-or a , "zee-all request sat. night , open house, party : )" style-program

however,
it is masked in such a way, where it looks,feels local on both stations !?

I believe, at this time, Z101 has other plans for 5pm...I hope it doesn't end up being the other way around...it would be sad to see the street mix go in favor of something new and different out of Niagara (...that the Z103 listener wouldn't even notice as coming out of Niagara...)

It's all pure speculation at this point though.
The only thing I understand to be true is that Z101 may not wish to be as dance-ish as Z103. There is desire to stay more true to the top 40 sound without the dance lean Z103 provides.
I believe?...I mean, I could be wrong...if the desire to be more like Z103 is present, why not just toss their playlist on while they're at it?
