WILD must have moved the transmitter

Not do long ago the FCC allowed WILD 1090 to move off of Corporation Way in Medford down to the WXKS AM tower down at Wellington next to the T station.

I see where they tore down the transmitter shack within the last day or so, can the tower be far behind.

I was told last month by an engineer who contracts for them that, when they move to the WXKS tower, they were planning to use a new transmitter which would no longer have the analog AM stereo carrier, and then they would soon go IBOC. The old transmitter would be a backup.

The AM stereo carrier is still on, so if they did move, they didn't yet do it with a new transmitter as was originally planned.
