WILD translator on 101.5?

I just head a translator of WILD on 101.5 FM. It must have just signed on. It was interfering with MyFM 101.3.

I just didn’t think I’d be able to get it here. I wonder if it interferes in other areas closer to Milford.

And does it also interfere with 101.5 WWBB Providence, an iHeart classic hits outlet? That station had to downgrade its signal a few years ago when co-owned WBWL 101.7 Lynn wanted to improve its Boston signal. iHeart wanted to compete with Country leader 102.5 WKLB, which has a strong Class B signal.

Just saw this on radioinsight Station Sales week of 1/5
>>Following Gois Broadcasting Boston’s $550,000 purchase of 96.5 W243DC Boston in November, the company is turning around and selling 94.9 W235CS Dedham to Blount Masscom for $250,000. The deal includes a $3000 per month lease until closing to immediately begin rebroadcasting Christian Preaching 1090 WILD Boston.

I did the FCC engineering to put the 101.5 translator on for Bill a few years ago. The downgrade of WWBB is what allowed that translator (and several others) to fit in.

WWBB has not complained of any interference.

Those maps may be overly optimistic in terms of coverage.
Someone said they were getting that Dedham 94.9 in Salem. Today in Beverly 94.9 got me WHOM from NH, I think--not far away from Salem. Different result.
Right after WJIB's FM translator went on, I went to the park near their tower to record it. Then I went on rt 2 to 128/I-95. Bittner's
101.3 soon gave way to the Milford one.

by the way I went to Rockport for New Year's Eve and noticed the 91.5 simulcast for WUMB--WUMZ Gloucester--was apparently off air.
Normally it would be heard at least partially in Rockport.
