Wind-driven Corral Fire forces evacuations near Tracy as it tops 11,000 acres
Neighborhoods southwest of Tracy were ordered to evacuate Saturday because of a wind-whipped wildfire that grew past 11,000 acres and closed part of Interstate Highway 580.

Evacuations are still in place Sunday morning around Interstate 580 south of Tracy. Two firefighters were hurt Saturday. The fire moved south overnight.
So far this wildfire is getting attention in the Bay Area and Sacramento because Tracy is one of the places that house residents that commute to San Jose for jobs. Also so far it's on the hills near Tracy.
