Wild's "Simple Plan" for satisfying CanCon requirements?

Seems like a Nickelback or Simple Plan song is played every hour on Wild. I'm guessing it's a loophole in the CanCon requirements? They have to play a certain amount of Canadian content each day, so I suppose they believe that just because the afore-mentioned bands are from Canada they can load their songs up on the playlist.
Apparently no one told Wild that
(1) It's OK to play more Canadian bands besides Nickleback and Simple Plan (and K-OS) more than once a day.
(2) How many Simple Plan fans are there exactly? (See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Simple_Plan for more information on how critically acclaimed they have been in the past few years).

Wouldn't you think they'd have put Nelly Furtado's last two singles in hot rotation? God knows, Kiss 98.5 sure has, and they don't have any CanCon rules to worry about...
