WILI-AM Off The Air

WILI-AM in Willimantic will be off the air for days as it upgrades its transmitter:

https://thechronicle.com/stories/20200529OFFAIR.php

They've been off the air for several days already, will be off till about the end of this week (so I was told by one of the engineers working on this project). They are replacing the old am tower because it has structural issues.. and theyre putting in a Valcom antenna
https://www.valcommfg.ca/am-broadcasting-antennas

They had the base of the new antenna in before they took down the old tower

The WILI Facebook page has a short video of the tower coming down

Something about a 95.3 FM translator was mentioned. The only station I know there is WILI-FM 98.3. I think their transmitter is on Gates Hill in Lebanon, CT. I haven't been in town there in several years, however.
