Wilks Makes Changes In Columbus

Too bad when Wilks moved the sudios they didn't stop at a record store and pick up a couple hundred more cd's for QFM96 to expand the playlist. Just so hard to listen to QFM any more, they sound the same everyday and it's become boring. They need to play a little new music and expand the gold catalog. The format is too tight these days.

Or they can do what Clear Channel did in Atlanta to a heritage rock station. Switch to CHR and give WNCI a good run for listeners.

QFM switching to a CHR format would put a slight dent in WNCI (if programmed well - live talent etc..) but every time I've passed the Wilks cluster in NE Columbus the only thing I've seen in the parking lots outside of business hours are station vans.. so my guess is they are trustin' the almighty Wide Orbit (automation) quite a lot.

Wilks is on a skeleton crew. They can't keep salespeople. Jerry and Archie is a show with no focus. You have two sidekicks running the show.

WHOK blows out Lex that should have never been doing the morning show finally.

I can't see Q switching to CHR, the Blitz is the one that needs to make a change... to something else

Have been hearing too much dead air on 107.1 and 95.5 since they moved over to their new
studios a couple of weeks ago. They must have been having some technical glitches at their new studios.
For example, 95.5 had deal air for ten minutes from 9:30 AM to 9:40 AM last Wednesday morning.
Then late last Sunday morning, 107.1 had at last a few hours of dead dead air.

I am guessing they installed "new" automation when they moved studios [I know they are using Wide Orbit there as someone posted a photo of the new Wink 107.1 studio on Wink's facebook page the week of the move)... so I am thinking it's likely a mix of no human bodies in the studios (yet they spent all that money on studios to begin with? - I never understood that -- Radio spends $$$$$$$ on nice studios to have them sit empty) and getting adjusted to new automation.
