Not only are my relatives naturalized citizens of the United States of America, who took the time to come to the United States legally (paperwork and 2 weeks travel by cruise ship) back in the 1960’s, but did not and still do not relay on the government for any assistance and as far as I know, the IRS is not after any of them. My family did what they were supposed to do, make the “American Dream” happen legally; otherwise I might not be here now. If my family had to do it by the book, why can’t the Mexicans?
So, how did there "strike" affect me you ask, well:
I still worked about 9.5 hours today, even if they didn’t. As a matter of fact, it’s pay day……..
The two stations I tuned-in to going from job to job, Q100 and 96 Rock were still on the air.
There were less people on the road that DO NOT know how to drive, which made things easier for me to get around town, serving the customer, making the company I work for money and making money for myself – Capitalism and the American Dream at it’s finest.
I can run my mouth about the driving, I’ve lived on the outskirts of Chamblee for the last 18 years and have put over 110,000 miles on three different work vans driving around the metro area. I believe I'm quite qualified on that subject.
There, I’ve said it. Now, it’s 8:30pm, and I’m going to see if maybe, just maybe, I’ve got enough copper wire to pick-up WGST's night time signal just to say I did it, and read this month's National Geographic. Good Night.
Edited by VPAGR on 03/25/06 01:31 AM.
