Will 107.1 Move Into Atlanta?

I've been hearing rumors from reliable sources, but that doesn't mean they're true.

As many of you know, WTSH-FM in Rome has a CP to move its transmitter site closer to Atlanta with 37,000 watts. This will enable them to city-grade a western sliver of Atlanta but put a signal over the entire market.

I heard that once this move takes place, the station will apply to increase power...and probably get FCC approval to do so, potentially city grading the market.

Has anyone else heard this? Tom Taylor might have been alluding to it in the thread just beneath this one.

The latest application (as of May) is to move slightly closer, but still in Bartow County, with 50 kW, a non-directional antenna, and improved western metro coverage. The application has bunch of supporting exhibits, including Longley-Rice city grade plots, which I thought the FCC does not accept. A similar application was dismissed in April.

The FCC accepts Longley-Rice maps to establish city-grade coverage of the city-of-license.
