Will Add Comcast Add Glenn Beck's "The Blaze" TV Network?

Recently, "The Blaze" has been added to the lineup of Optimum (Cablevision), as well as Dish Network. But that won't stop Glenn Beck for making a push for his network to be added by other cable operators. That appears to be the missive of an e-mail I received today titled, "Urgent: Comcast Needs To Hear From You."

I can't imagine they'll add "Blaze" to their lineups faster than it took them to finally add GSN.

The following is the text of the e-mail:

Every month, you and countless others spend a combined $800 million on your cable bills. Despite thousands of requests, you still aren't getting TheBlaze on your channel lineup. It's time for that to change.

Your hard-earned money is going to channels you don't watch or even want, month after month. Comcast, one of the country's largest TV providers carries Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, and starting August 20th, Al Jazeera America. But despite thousands of calls from Americans just like you, they don't carry TheBlaze — a network that you trust to deliver the truth and represent your values.

Major TV providers like Optimum, DISH, Service Electric, RCN and others have listened to this audience and made TheBlaze available to their customers. But if you're like many others, your TV provider has not listened and we think it's time that they did.

It's time Comcast added TheBlaze to their channel lineup.

We need you to call 1-800-266-2278 now. Tell Comcast politely but firmly: "Time is running out. I want TheBlaze added to my channel lineup — I can and will take my money elsewhere if you don't start listening."

Don't get frustrated with long recordings. Follow these simple steps to get connected with a customer representative fast:

Call 1-800-266-2278
After the message, enter your phone number
Wait briefly for your call to be processed
Once you get to the main menu, press 1
Enter your zip code
Press 1
Press 1 again
You should now be connected with a customer representative

And don't forget to make your request public by posting on Comcast's Facebook page or tweeting to @comcastcares using the hashtag #GetTheBlaze.

We at TheBlaze would love to do business with Comcast and other TV providers to help provide you with your choice of programming. Comcast is not opposed to expanding its programming lineup to include new diverse networks like El Rey, Revolt, Aspire, and on August 20th, Al Jazeera America. Make sure they know their customers want access to TheBlaze as well.

If you're not a Comcast subscriber, go to GetTheBlaze.com to contact your TV provider and request TheBlaze be added to your channel lineup.

Call now and make your voice heard. Thank you for supporting our efforts to get TheBlaze added to your TV lineup.

Comcast's forums has been inundated the better part of a year with requests from Glenn Beck fans to add TheBlaze. Several of these folks are accusing Comcast of a political bias, touting TheBlaze as the ideological opposite of Al Jazeera America (which Comcast will carry upon its launch).

The problem, of course, is that Al Jazeera tries to present world news in a traditionally journalistic objective manner, while TheBlaze blatantly wears Mr. Beck's political, religious and social ideologies on its sleeve. I wouldn't even consider it a news network. The two are not opposites.

It's about carriage fees, demand and bandwidth, not politics. Comcast isn't suppressing TheBlaze anymore than they are Boomerang and Epix; Mr. Beck is no more a pariah than are Iron Man and Quick Draw McGraw.

That's because (If the Glenn Beck freaks are even intelligent enough to notice, which I doubt) it already carries AJA's current tenant Current TV. No such pre-occupancy took place when The Blaze was launched

On top of that, The Blaze is also biased towards the Tea Party, even moreso than Fox News could EVER DREAM of being

Am I gonna watch The Blaze on a regular basis - HELL NO !!! I might however peek in ON RARE OCCASIONS to see what I can use as fodder to Tweet out to my friends FOR SATIRICAL LAUGHTER & as part of video posts on YouTube though ;D

And these are THE SAME quacks who think ALL of mainstream media has a Liberal bias. This has proven TIME & TIME AGAIN to be an OUTRIGHT LIE !!! True SOME outlets & personalities show some bias (Some people are even PAID to do it - On BOTH sides of the political spectrum) but the media overall is pretty much center & neutral

Is it it perfect ?? No. But it's as balanced as humanly possible. That's all one can & should expect

Or even Hopalong Cassidy & all the diginets (Including WorldView)

Cheers & 73 ;D
