Will be missed... I guess?

Kevin Duplantis has moved to Tennessee. He was one of the finest engineers that has ever worked in New Orleans. The only guy I knew who really loved the people he worked with in radio. I know he'll miss his friends. Please keep him in your prayers. Entercom has lost some of it's glue in New Orleans. I hope he never comes back. Jerk! I told him to take the money CC was offering, be he refused to leave stupid Entercom.
Well, goodbye baldy!!! Yeeeaaahhh And I voted for him too!!! ***...

Kevin has taken the Director of Engineering position at South Central Communicatios in Knoxville. I heard him say that if any openings come up, he'll be sure to look south for talent to recomend. He always spoke highly of the people at WWL and the others. Jerk! Sounds like an obituary ,doesn't it? Butt head even turned down the job offered to him at Citadel because "He did not want to betray his company", for almost double his salary!!! Good thing his wife did'nt know bout that one. Well, goodbye baldy. Hope the sales people don't take advantage of his kindness like they did in New Orleans. Stupid jerk! Yeeeeaaahhhh. ;D

Maybe he'll run for Lt. Governa of Tennessee.

Citadel must have saved a bunch of money from what they offered "Butt Head" Duplantis when they hired "Big Butt" Joey Falgout. Good luck Kevin...Citadel, don't get hands around Joey's plate, you'll lose them.

Kevin is a good guy, and a good engineer. He lost his house and all of his possessions in Katrina and I bet its been tough having to commute from the north shore. He'll like Tennessee, although the yat accent will stand out like a clown at a funeral.

Good Luck Kevin! twuz a pleasure working with you. Hope Tenessee is ready for you. Tell Mr. Jacobus hello.

Kevin is a sexy beast, a funny guy and a wonderful engineer. They should kiss his toes in Tennesee (...he'd like that!). He's always been a good friend, a filthy-minded freak and the best person to hang with at any boring-ass remote. We'll miss you on the Northshore baby - say hi to Jacobus for me too -- one of the few decent corporate folk in radio.

Man, If I'da known I would get this kinda send off, I would have gone a long time ago. Thanks for the kind words from everyone. I'll miss everyone of you that I had the pleasure of working with and around. This decision was harder than opting to not "pull out" and have two kids. This business is wonderful, it's just the corperate bottom line that gets in the way. I pray the best for all of you.
From WRNO to WWL, my life has been changed by the people and opportunities in this business.
I'll take some time to thank you all personnaly on my next post. I have to pack now, and I need time to write it all down. Kevin e-mail [email protected]

Yeah, It did'nt take much time to decied. But I'm still concerned about one thing. Joey the engineer has more "hits" on his post than I do. Scott , do e-mail me and I'll send you pics of the studios, They sit on top of a hill that overlooks Knoxville. Looking into the possability of putting in a radio at my desk to keep up on things as well. ;D I might even try to bring back "Homeless BOB' and "Tweekie, the blind engineer" bits. Tweekie is partly influenced by some engineers and Harvey Heagy I've worked with.

One more hit for Kevin. You will like Knoxville, just a beautiful area..Hear South Central is a good group.and when the seasons change, fabulous fall colors, get some pics.Got to hear Magic in New Orleans recently ,great sounding station.Orban or Omnia??? Sounded like a o6 to me..Good Luck

But Kevin, that's a "weightier" subject and Joey is twice the man you are.

OK, cheap joke.

Seriously, good luck up there. Looks like I have another incentive to get my antennas up!

Thanks Don, I needed that! ;D

Good luck Kevin. Haven't met you, but have heard nothing but positive about you.

Joey

The rumors are true, I have worked at a lot of stations with a lot of engineers, and Kevin is the one of the best. The last thing that needed to be done is me get on here and blow some smoke, but I enjoyed working with Kevin and his amazing ability to make everything sound sexual, what a talent. Kevin, if you read this, I really need to get my studio equipment back, I still love you sweetie.

Kevin, you dirty dog... you left me out!!! ;) j/k Congratulations on your "movin' up!"

An earlier post on here stated that you lost everything during the storm. I'm extremely sorry to hear that. I was never made aware. I haven't really talked to many folks over there since the storm, but I did talk to Michael Allen (before he left), Mike Kaplan (when I went up there a few months back), and Aldo (in recent weeks). Can't believe you guys 'roughed it up' there during the storm and still these days. The building still looks like it's been through a war zone with broken windows, etc. But I heard the company treated y'all well through it all. That's always good to hear.

Well, I gotta run. Got work for 5am. Again, my deepest apologies for your losses during Katrina. Hope everything turns out for the best for you and your family. I know we didn't work together much and I was just a part-timer, but like Buddy D, I had the pleasure to work with you all. That's what matters. Take care and hope to hear from you soon sometime!

Jeremy F.
