Will Direct TV raise prices after viacom's stuff?

Any thoughts?

I hope they don't raise it any more than it is now, I don't even watch viacom's channels but maybe once in a while.

Of course they will. But it wont solely be due to Viacom's new contract. I would think that Disney, Comcast, etc all have automatic raises built into their contracts each year that would help to account for any price increases as well. Heck Time Warner cable seems to be announcing price hikes every 6 months or so where I live. I don't see why Directv should be any different since they all get their programming from the same 5 or 6 big media companies.

I love how the OP nonchalantly refers to Viacom's inability to see eye-to-eye with DirecTV as their "stuff". :D

I could think of other worse words to describe it. But I think that although DirecTV may be paying more than before, Viacom probabably isn't getting what they wanted and this whole thing more than likely bit them in the rear end.
