Will dropping GOLD prices hurt Radio ad revenues?

Seems like 20% of radio ads are for gold/metals . I wonder if tanking metals prices will hurt radio ad revenues? Maybe it is time to go into pork bellies?

From Trading Places:
Randolph Duke: Exactly why do you think the price of pork bellies is going to keep going down, William?
Billy Ray Valentine: Okay, pork belly prices have been dropping all morning, which means that everybody is waiting for it to hit rock bottom, so they can buy low. Which means that the people who own the pork belly contracts are saying, "Hey, we're losing all our damn money, and Christmas is around the corner, and I ain't gonna have no money to buy my son the G.I. Joe with the kung-fu grip! And my wife ain't gonna f... my wife ain't gonna make love to me if I got no money!" So they're panicking right now, they're screaming "SELL! SELL!" to get out before the price keeps dropping. They're panicking out there right now, I can feel it.
Randolph Duke: [on the ticker machine, the price keeps dropping] He's right, Mortimer! My God, look at it! ;D

I spoke too soon, gold was down 140 then went back up to close about even. We will see tomorrow, although it seems china and India impact the gold market.

The view from the Hut is ad revenues won't change. While the price of gold is down, the hawkers will change their pitch to "..this stuff is on sale and you'd better buy before the price goes up" Nothing changes, except the copy.

I was just listenining to the gold hucksters on 1100 Colon Blow, hiliarious! You see, according to the hosts, the evil "them" are manipulating your precious gold to steal it away from all the good patiots! And you need to buy more gold from them if you love America! And silver! Fear sells, I love hearing these swine backpedaling on their bs claims. I hope these guys are out of business and off the radio selling their fear based baloney.

I heard 1100 at midnight and they were advertising adult website that sells "equipment" so to speak... I thought they were conservative? I Hope Hucklebery doe not find out.

Do you think he'd find the two mistakes in this website photo? http://www.1100kfnx.com/index.php?/maingal/image_med/2/ (notice the KFNX News Dept folded on the table)

Colon Blow and Golden Blow. Just different colors.

We knew it.

The Gold-hawkers urge buyers to take advantage of the discounted price per once and load up. Meanwhile Dave Ramsey is telling KTweetAR listeners to sell their watches, jewelry, fillings, etc before the price falls even more.

So while the churn continues, Los Buckeye Boyz see no threat to radio ad revenues. If anything, revenues will go up!

Addressing the original question, pertaining to dropping gold prices hurting radio ad revenue, I'd point out that drops in gold prices are often accompanied by improvements in equity (stock) market performance. This improvement often brings out the stock scam-artists who can make up the loss in ad revenue.
