Will IBOC Demand Ever Top Supply?

Yea right, we'll all chuck our 1 billion analog AM/FM radios ! :D

That's the great thing about HD Radio. You'll never have to do that. Those who wish to not listen to HD don't have to do anything to keep enjoying local radio.

The more you know...

The iBiquity HD Radio migration plan, clearly and often stated, is to drop the analog transmission part of the HD hybrid mode as soon as possible. That would obsolete all analog radios, giving them no analog signals to pick up. So what you said above is a clearly a lie, Or else YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS UNINFORMED AND CLUELESS. Which is it?
The more you know... THE LESS YOU LISTEN TO UNSCUPULOUS HD RADIO HYPESTERS!

Wow! We're unscupulous! Actually, the unscrupulous ones are the people trying to convince others to stay away from HD Radio using nothing but junk science and the opinions of others.

As soon as possible, when it comes to shutting of analog, could be more that 20+ years away. Even then, if there is still a lot of analog radios out there, the stations could stay analog. There is no, and won't be, a manditory shut-off date for analog. Unlike HDTV, there is no spectrum to free up, so there is no rush.

BTW, are you a GROWNUP? I ask because you are acting like a CHILD.

The truth wins again!

I'm not selling anything, you are trying to sell HD Radio. Which one of us is more credible?

Give me one instance where I have tried to sell an HD Radio? Just one?

Now let's look at some of the stuff (including outright lies) that you and SayNo have posted.

Now who's more credible?

Again - I'll say what I've said several times. I want people to try it and make their own decision. If they don't like it, fine.

You just want the sheeple to take your word for it.

That's it - LOCAL radio, only ! And, analog will be here for a long time. Image dropping analog, all of a sudden, and piss every listener off, as if, the broadstations would be willing to do that ! Already with IBOC, stations are alienating 40% of their listeners (and probably more, with poor structure penetration) - I wonder, how long that will last ! :D

Yep. Local radio. What millions upon millions of people listen to now.

I can't imagine dropping analog...especially since there are no concrete plans to do so. A lot of "what-if's" and "someday's" but nothing in stone, other than "maybe in 20 years".

Prove to me that stations are alienating 40% of their listeners. Or is that another lie backed up by a link to an opinion piece. Where's the cold, hard facts?

And, millions of people listen to national Satellite and Internet Radio !
