Will It Be An Early KOOL Chirstmas Again?

Nurse Jeff and I were gazing at the calendar and zeroed in on 10/31 - a mere 2 1/2 months from now. Remember what happened last Halloween on 94~Five? That's right....premature Ho-Ho-Ho music that resulted in a disasterous Fall book for KOOL. Have the See BS'ers learned their lesson, or will be forced to have a Holly, Jolly Christmas two months before it actually happens? Perhaps PPM will save us all (including KEZ) from the most repetitive time of the year!

Ya gotta wonder what PD Kris was thinking!

That and the firing of talented airstaff left their preset on my radio but it isn't pushed nearly as often as it once was.

How to wreck a station with one stupid decision.......

Exactamente, Senor Tuna.

BTW Doc, that would be a "KOOL Kristmas" in honor of PD Kris.

While the staff cuts obviously came from the corporate bean counters,
unless this disaster can somehow be traced back to Dan Mason, it's got
to fall squarely on the shoulders of local management. As TMEMOTM*
said, their fall book went in the toilet.

KOOL-FM now: boring radio (#2 25-54 in July notwithstanding).

Yes, I heard they start Sept 7th with a live rebroadcast of a Jim Nabor's christmas!

Followed in succession by the Ken Berry Wow! Its Christmas 6 hour show, the John Davidson "I sure do love Christmas" special.

Later, Charlie Callas in "byalll Its Chis, crhris, criish, uh Xmas!"

The Del Rubio Triplets will do a show with Rusty Warren (R Rated), then we will have an odd offering, the Jack Klugman classic "Oscar Oscar Oscar Holiday Review"

Then, the Paul Lynde "Oh my goodness! Its christmas with the guys" costarring Charles Nelson Reilly, Alan Stang, Richard Deacon, Rock Hudson and Nancy Walker.

I'm looking forward to the Bay City Rollers, "Its Christmas in Hull" show, with Victor Buono and John Houseman.

Yee haw, Christmas comes early!

(where are those Xanax?)

Legend--after that big Labor Day kickoff of Kristmas specials, don't forget
there will be an ongoing contest between the morning and afternoon shows
(the only two live/local dayparts left) from September 8 to December 24
to see which show can play Wonderful Christmastime more!

Our eardrums should be bleeding profusely by the first day of autumn.
