A British speaker manufacturer has teamed up with Reciva (
http://www.reciva.com) to develop this cunning little device. So far, it looks like a project with considerable potential: support for all 3 major protocols, convenient tuning, a small footprint and a reasonable price point.
I suspect this is one area of technology that will see significant development in Western Europe and Asia before it hits North America, simply because nations like the UK, Germany, South Korea, and Japan have better wireless infrastructure than the US.
