Will KLOL Call Letters End Up In Kansas?

(1) No, the KLOL calls won't be ending up in Kansas anytime soon. I agree, though, that it would be a fitting callsign for "Laugh Out Loud Radio."

(2) If anyone cares, it wasn't CHR KMOQ that flipped to all comedy. It was classic hits KCAR-FM, and the classic hits format was moved to AM 1450, replacing news/talk KQYX. Inside Radio got it wrong, probably because the KMOQ PD is also PD of "Laugh Out Loud Radio."

(3) It's not a stunt. I was told this the day after it signed on from someone in the building. Also, a friend of mine used to be the engineer for that cluster, and he told me that was the rumored format about a week before it signed on. It's been on-air for more than a month now. It signed on February 10.

Wow, on the air for over a month, and Inside Radio is finally getting to report it? I've heard of bad timing in comedy, but IR takes the cake with this one!
