Will KNBR dump JT the Brick to carry local favorite Tony Bruno?

I read in the LA times that Tony Bruno is launching his new syndicated show in LA on Monday night and it will be rolled out nationally soon. Interestingly, his slot is now occupied by JT the Brick on 1050 or Damon Bruce on 680. They won't take the local show away from 680, so will they take the "brick" off to put Bruno on in the Bay area at nights to add to his popular 30-minute segment with Gary Radnich at 10am everyday?

JT has involvement with the Raiders, so does he have traction enough to hold onto that spot or is Bruno a better fit and better chance to get any audience in that slot?

Lee Hammer hasn't said yes (publicly) (yet) to Bruno, but JT The Brick's "involvement with the Raiders" will have less than zero to do with him staying at KNBR/1050.

The good news: either way, Bruno fans can hear him live on KLAC/570's website (www.am570radio.com).

The bad news: since Bruno is doing evenings, and since his new studio is in Burbank, the phoners with Gary Rabbinich will be just that -- phoners -- until Tony upgrades to ISDN at Castello di Bruno in Venice Beach.

The new Bruno show, "Into The Night," will air from 7 to 10 p.m. weeknights.
