It just all depends on the ratings

Well lets see it this way shall we: La Preciosa is on a 99,000 watt stick that covers the majority of the metroplex while Recuerdo is on a 74,000 watt stick that covers a fraction of the metroplex due to 106.7 and 107.5. CC is a sucessor with LP and Univision is gradually growing with Recuerdo (and La Kalle). I may see Recuerdo taking some ratings from La Preciosa on the next book, a similar situation like the Twister and the Wolf.<P ID="signature">______________

Correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't Recuerdo move to 94.1 FM? Estereo Latino no longer exists and a new format took over 107.1.

He's right:

And 107.1 is called "La Picuda":

Preciosa in Dallas has gone to 100% network programming out of Salinas, CA. They got rid of the local afternoon show, and are now 100% net.

Recuerdo (no "s") is on 94.1, and is a 100 kw cedar Hill facility.

Univision (then HBC) invented this format in 1999 and put it on KRCD/KRCV in LA in February of 2000. Clear Channel copied it in 2004.

Recuerdo in McAllen was #1 25-54 in its first full month; Recuerdo in San Antonio was #1 Spanish in January. Similar things have occured in Houston, Phoenix, San Diego (already beat Preciosa), Fresno (already beat Preciosa) and San Freancisco.
