Will ME-TV come to Charlotte?

Off topic, I know, but TV is discussed here from time to time. Is there any chance ME-TV or Antenna TV will come to Charlotte next month? We pretty much missed out on Retro TV when they finally went on WHKY, which few can get. THIS TV, a sister channel to ME-TV finally came to WBTV. I like THIS, but I've just looked at the ME schedule, which I must say looks awesome. How about WJZY, which has no subchannels, or maybe WAXN? BTW, I'm amazed not a single spanish TV service has a presence in Charlotte--surely the largest DMA, by far, with no spanish programing. Someone is really missing a big opportunity to put Telemundo (which is not even available on cable in Charlotte) on a subchannel.

There has been talk about WHKY-TV installing a repeater transmitter on the WTVI tower so they can cover Charlotte. It's supposed to happen sometime this winter.

Charlotte's always been weird in that it was one of the few that never got PAX when it signed on many years ago. I never could put my finger on why WHKY never jumped on affiliating with any of these smaller independent, religious or spanish networks over the years. I figured it would give them lots of instant programming and give a network a sizable TV market they were missing.

PAX was on WAXN years ago--they delayed some of the nightime programing and showed them during daytime hours. I think it's obvious WHKY is very satisfied with their mix of local "religous" programing and mix of shopping channels, not to mention their award winning news programs. Surely they've gotten offers to buy---I would assume the station is a hot commodity with widespread cable coverage and sat carriage. To me, it's surely the worst TV station I've ever seen.

If new owners ever purchase WHKY-TV, the studios will move to Charlotte, and would another network like
Univision come in?, if not ION Television would be a good fit, even though they don't carry anything worth
watching.

ME-TV is now on TWC digital cable channel 126. No more FoxCharlotte Weather Radar.
Sorry to hear that. But the audio on that channel was horrendous. Plus I was always getting squares or stripes.

I probably won't ever check it out. If you have to change channels manually, you can't be sure of getting what you want tot ape, and taping would be the only way. I just don't have the time to watch anything new live.

My power went out briefly, just long enough to turn of both converter boxes. When I tried to reset the channel, I somehow ended up on a fozen image of Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore. I want to watch that show so much, but the antenna has to be turned the wrong way to pick up the stations I don't get on cable. And the VCR doesn't even work now on the TV with the other converter box--plus I'd have to remember to manually change channels.

I bought a reconditioned TiVo Premiere for $99 and $12.95 a month. I'm fortunate that I can point the antenna in one direction and pick up everything except WNSC. Now if I just had the time to watch everything I'm recording. I record lots of the old shows on ME-TV and This-TV.
