Will Movin 99.7 Have a Slow Jam block?

Movin 99.7 had a slow jam block on Valentimes Day with Mary Diaz from 7am-midnight.


Now that Mary Diaz is now on Movin at nights replacing Katie Mason.

Hope there will be a slow jam block.

according to the ratings ...you may be the ONLY one in the bay area enjoying that mix. i say bring on the slow jamz ...mary diaz is REALLY STRONG with that type of show. perfect voice and delivery.

It is, it's just spread out over the KYLD's/KISQ's/KIOI's of the world...I've never heard of a slow jam show playing dance hits, so if your thinking that MOViN will be playing music not found on KBLX/KISQ on their (if,maybe,perhaps) slow jam show then you are sorely mistaken..

also, off-topic a bit... why doesnt Movin us local mixers? theres a lot of DJ talent in the Bay, why dont they hire some local guys who are more in tune with the bay's needs?

Yeah, that Star 101.3 is as Vanilla as it gets...It is no different now than the Original Pre-Star KIOI, which is why they blew it up in the first place (prior to their half a$$ 80's stint) because it sucked....Thats the trouble with Bay Area radio, there is too much dead weight in formats. There is always one station stepping on the others toes...One station is ratings king in their target demos, and the remaining ones would rather fend for the ratings scrapps instead of taking a different approach (changing formats, or adding jocks, promotions)...

So 95.7 is wasting a signal, they're hovering right around a 2.0 share, not bad for a format that most folks thought was dead in the water in the Bay Area....They run that station with energy with a CHR type of approach....Gee, I wonder if Variety Hits would work like this...anybody at CBS listening? :
